Why only 800 bookmarks?
X’s API stops at ~800. Here’s how Ribbon’s Chrome extension imports the rest — honestly.
We get this question a lot: you want your full bookmark history (and so do we).
Ribbon connects to X using its official API. Today that returns your most recent ~800 bookmarks — a hard ceiling X sets.
For everything older, the honest path is the Chrome extension: it walks your own bookmarks page in your own browser session and streams the history into your library. No passwords. No scraping other people. Your session, your saves.
Free can sync the first 200 via OAuth or import JSON. Pro keeps syncing, unlocks full history via the extension, gives you Inbox for new bookmarks, and sends a weekly digest.
If X expands the API window later, Ribbon will use it. Until then, the extension is the honest path.
